VITALS 2014-2017
Ventilation, Interactions and Transport Across the Labrador Sea

The Ventilation, Interactions and Transports Across the Labrador Sea (VITALS) program (link) was a Canadian-led international science program to enhance our knowledge about physical, chemical and biological cycles in the Labrador Sea. As part of this program we deployed gliders into the Labrador Sea to test novel CO2 optode sensors. You can read about the results of this work here. Other glider deployments such as in Howatt et al. (2018) looked at Oxygen and Heat transports across the Labrador Shelf.
